Welcome: Dr Ashlee Borgkvist

Ashlee joined the BRIDGES at Work team in August 2025 as a Research Fellow based at Adelaide University. In addition to bringing her research expertise to the project, Ashlee will be taking on a project management role, providing support to the team to facilitate achievement of research goals.

Ashlee is an interdisciplinary researcher who has worked in many interdisciplinary teams on projects that have explored gendered violence and organisational culture. Her experience has included working with advisory groups, project management, conducting interviews on sensitive topics, and in-depth qualitative analysis. Ashlee’s PhD investigated father's uptake of flexible working arrangements, gender, and workplace culture. Her PhD and subsequent research in this area has provided extensive knowledge about how fathers negotiate work and family responsibilities and how gender and organisational culture interact to influence behaviour and decision-making.
